What's your name, how did you meet Marco, how long ago?
At home they know me as “El 392”, my owner, Marco A Hernandez of OVRLNDX, acquired mein 2021. I am a 2021 Jeep Wrangler, Rubicon model 392, which means I have a 6.4L Hemi engine that produces 470HP. I am fully equipped for overland.
Are you the first in his life?
Before me there was a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Hardrock with a Pentastar V6 also very well equipped for overland.
Where has it taken you and where does it want to take you?
I know a good part of the western United States,as well as Arizona, Utah and New Mexico. I have traveled throughout Baja California on several occasions, in which we have toured the peninsula visiting the famous Spanish missions that are full of history.
Another very important aspect is common sense! Let the risks be minimal.
Does Marco plan or improvise?
Both things, but trips are usually planned withanticipation. Perhaps once on the journey some things such as times or destinations are improvised.
Important topics to always take into account are preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance. Also very important, there is never a shortage of recovery equipment.
Another very important aspect is common sense! Let the risks be minimal.
What hobbies, passions, neuroses... are your travel companions?
On the one hand, the kitchen!
On our trips there are always tasty recipes for foods not common on a camping trip.
On the other hand, photography and video production for social networks and YouTube are never lacking.
Any scare or breakdown?
The most recent experiencewas in Baja California. Our friend Scott’s Jeep from Texas decided to put antifreeze on the pistons!
We were forced to leave Scott in Guerrero Negro for a couple of days until we sent him the necessary parts for his repair. The interesting thing is that it was the first time that Scott visited Mexico. It was a little tense at first but everything went well.
"El 392" says goodbye sharing a lesson learned along the way.
